Who are we?

We are NuBotX a team of young student professionals that excel in the fields of S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics).

 What do we do?

We build robots capable of completing complex tasks for FRC (First Robotics Competition) as well as other events and have tons of fun while we’re doing it! We often take part in events aside from FRC to keep ourselves busy and to help get other people interested in robotics. Recently, our team was able to have the pleasure of owning a booth in the 2015 Maker’s Faire. For this event, we built a small RC car and programmed it respond to an XBOX 360 controller and attached a camera that fed into a VR headset to provide the driver with a first person view of the RC car as they raced around a sand pit we had set up in our booth. Our booth was a major success as we were able to educate many people about the excitement and educational value of robotics.

What is FRC?

FRC or First Robotics Competition, is an international robotics competition for high school teams in which, teams are given six weeks to build a robot usually weighing maximum 120 lb (54 kg) capable of completing different tasks according to the current season’s game. Each year’s game is different and so teams are always challenged to improve on previous designs and learn from their mistakes in order to succeed.

Why sponsor us?

Our team is filled with people who are very passionate about engineering and computer science. By sponsoring our team, NubotX, you are allowing us to be able to pursue our passions and improve both as students who love robotics and as young adults looking to apply their passions to the real world.
